Captain’s View accommodation - full details
Captain’s View is a modern 3 storey town house with stunning river views from the master bedroom, and is just a short stroll from the historic heart of Christchurch.
Furnished in a stylish but comfortable manner, the house sleeps five in a double, twin and a single room. The master (double) bedroom with en-suite bathroom, which is on the second floor, is luxuriously appointed and has a lovely view of the River Stour. With full French windows opening onto a balcony, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the boats on the river. The spacious twin on the first floor is ideal for any age, and is furnished and decorated to a high standard, with good solid beds, memory mattresses throughout, and crisp white cotton bedding. There is also a bathroom with shower over, between the single and twin rooms. Access to the master bedroom is through the single bedroom, and so this room would be ideal for someone younger perhaps.
The compact kitchen is extremely well appointed and equipped, not only having all the things you would expect but a lot more besides! As well as a microwave, dishwasher, spacious fridge with cold drink dispenser, we have provided a coffee machine, blender, and a great range of tools and gadgets! The house has a washing machine with tumble dryer, plus an airer is provided which is especially useful in the sun lounge or outside in the garden.
The lounge/dining room is comfortably furnished and has 37” full HD TV with all freeview channels available plus DVD player with HDD recording facility, so you can record your favourite programmes whilst you are out enjoying yourselves! We also provide an iPod docking station, with integrated radio, so you can listen to your favourite music.
The elegant sun lounge, which overlooks the small but pretty back garden where a barbeque is provided, is a lovely place to have your morning coffee whilst reading the paper. A luxury few of us can afford when not on holiday! Alternatively it would make a great play room for children with plenty of floor space for toys.
Children of all ages are welcome and we are delighted to offer a travel cot, high chair and other useful items free of charge to save you having to bring everything with you!
Located in a cul-de-sac with no through traffic and yet close to the town centre, Captain's View is in a very quiet and secure location. At the front of Captain's View is a small gravel residents' only car park with a dedicated space for the house plus three visitor spaces. So you can be secure in the knowledge your car is safely parked and there is additional space should you bring two cars.
The area is perfectly suited for families, with a fantastic range of attractions from simply enjoying the sandy beaches less than a 10 minute drive away to superb attractions such as Beaulieu, Paulton’s Park, Marwell Zoo, Monkey World and a whole host more besides.
Christchurch and Bournemouth also have some brilliant pubs, cafes and restaurants, many of which go out of their way to be family friendly. In fact, the perfect time to visit Christchurch is in mid May during the Christchurch Food Festival, which is now recognized as one of the best Food Festivals in the UK. We also very happy to welcome one well-behaved dog, and being dog owners can you give you lots of pointers to the best walks, which pubs are dog-friendly and where and when you can walk your dog on the beaches.
Captain’s View is perfectly located in Christchurch to visit all its attractions including riverside walks, beaches, watersports, excellent pubs and restaurants as well as a range of visitor attractions from the magnificent historic Priory Church in the olde worlde heart of the town to the exciting Snowtrax or Adventure Wonderland, the children’s theme park.
